Peer Review

Step 1)
TRIAGE -- evaluates whether a submission does meet the journal’s scope; and whether the submitted material is in the requested form and format.

Step 2)
REVIEW -- each contribution goes through an independent peer-review process (2-3 reviewers). Reviewers are following the reviewers’ recommendation and instructions. They send in a detailed review on the contribution together with the reviewer recommendation form (the latter is for the editors only). Editorial Board takes a decision based on the reviews and recommendations. Authors can propose potential reviewers, but they do not know the reviewers. Reviewers are allowed to know the authors and affiliations. All the contributions are handled equally way, i.e. all the contribution go through review. Should any member of the editorial board be an author, he/she will not be involved in the respective review/decision making process.

Step 3)
EDITORIAL CHECK -- The authors’ revisions, which are based on the reviews, go through the editor’s check, to see whether the authors have considered all the comments from the reviewers. Authors are requested to provide an explanation for non-addressing of points.

Step 4)
FINAL EDITING -- after the authors have addressed, revised and explained all the comments raised by the reviewers, the contribution goes through the final editing which ensures that articles are consistent in format and language, and that literature is correctly cited. After the authors’ agreement, the article goes into layout.

Step 5)
PROOF READING -- the layout produces a pdf document for the authors for proof reading. After this, the final document will be produced for publication.
