Peer Review
All manuscripts submitted to RJESTE are initially screened by Editors to check if they fit the aim and scope of the journal and if they are compliant with the author guidelines. The manuscripts that are suitable for further consideration go through a double-blind review. Each manuscript should be reviewed by at least two reviewers, scholars/experts with relevant experiences. The reviewers should submit to the Chief Editor/Editor the completed review form with recommendations to Accept, Reject or Request revisions (minor or major, accordingly), within 1.5 months. Based on the received recommendations, the handling Editor makes the final decision. The final decision and the reviewers’ comments are communicated to authors. Revised articles are examined by the editor or the reviewer depending on whether the requested revisions were minor or major.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Focus and Scope
The Rwanda Journal of Engineering, Science, Technology and Environment (RJESTE) is a peer-reviewed journal published bi-annually by the University of Rwanda - College of Science and Technology. The journal aims at publishing original research articles, review articles, and selected conference articles on the latest developments in the fields of engineering, science, technology, environment and related. The publications should either demonstrate a significant new discovery or other contribution that has been established to fairly rigorous scientific standards. The Journal will publish articles written in standard British English.
