The Place of Soft Skills Assessment in the Development of Teacher Education in Nigeria
Abstract
Teacher Education entails a multitude of issues and concerns that are important for the development of education in Nigeria. Any discussion of innovation and integration for future development of teacher education may be incomplete in the absence of a multitude of critical elements surrounding successful implementation and delivery of whatever plans are embedded in the curriculum for teacher education in Nigeria. These critical issues include but may not be limited to lesson delivery, methodology, use of teaching resources, classroom control and administration, guidance and counselling, sociological and philosophical issues, special needs education and classroom assessment and evaluation. The aforementioned determine the extent to which curriculum delivery on teacher education at whatever level will be successful.
