Enhancing Students Innovation and Integration Through Effective Teaching and Learning for Sustainable Development in Nigeria
Abstract
Globally, there has been an increase in the development of new technology, knowledge and ideas, otherwise called innovation. At one point or the other, this innovation manifests to solve Educational problems. These innovations are used in the Education system, for instance, the continued evolution of technology, such as the interest in education. Education is pivotal to the development of the emerging economies of the world. The effectiveness of educational activities is equally the key to sustaining these development strides. This is why every well-meaning government formulates policies and organises numerous opportunities that enhance the teaching and learning process, thereby fostering the full realisation of her educational aims and objectives. Effective teaching and learning has no doubt improved in equipping students with the necessary knowledge, skills and competencies that empower them for sustainable livelihoods and somewhat translate to overall national development. It is against this backdrop that this paper broadly examines the topic: Equipping Students through Effective Teaching and Learning for Sustainable Development in Nigeria. It also considers the concepts of Education, Effective Teaching and Learning Process, Productivity in educational institutes and how they facilitate the attainment of sustainable development in Nigeria in particular.
