AJASSS, the journal of the Tanzania Institute of Accountancy, welcomes research papers concerning all aspects relevant to Accounting, Procurement and Logistic Management, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Market and Public Relations, Management and other Business related studies.

The African Journal of Economic Review (AJER) is a quarterly peer-reviewed Journal that publishes high quality and scholarly manuscripts on economic topics relevant to Africa, for anyone interested in the African continent.  The AJER is an applied journal that invites rigorously treated manuscripts with significant component of economic analysis.  The AJER accepts manuscripts with keen interest in the following fields: Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, International Economics, Financial Economics, Public Economics, Health Economics, Educational Economics, Welfare Economics, Labour Economics, Industrial Organization, Economic History, Economic Development, Innovation, Technological Change, and Growth; Political Economy and Comparative Economic Systems, Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics, Environmental and Ecological Economics; Urban, Rural, Regional, Real Estate, and Transportation Economics; Cultural Economics, Sports Economics, Tourism Economics, History of Economic Thought and Heterodox Approaches. 
Authors are advised to observe that the introduction section of the manuscript (usually not more than three pages) needs to clearly motivate the problem, state research question succinctly, introduce the empirical method, present the estimated results, include a note on value addition to the existing body of knowledge, robustness checks, policy implications, limitations and organization of study. The AJER requires authors to submit manuscripts that clearly locate the existing gaps in the literature, discuss the relevant theory, and introduce the research hypotheses if any.  Authors are also reminded to provide details on all data sources and their limitations. The methodology section needs to single out clearly  why the use of a particular methodology is more preferred than alternative; and more so, giving appropriate details when recent techniques are employed. The discussion section should highlight the implications, novel contributions and the limitations of the existing study.

The African Journal of Finance and Management is designed to carry articles, announcements, notes and reports on in-depth, theoretical and empirical research, analysis of field experience and significant new developments in finance, management, banking, accountancy, insurance, social security, computers and related areas.

The Business Education Journal is an Open Access Peer Review Journal.

Aim: The BEJ was created to highlight the rich output of mainly business, economics, and social sciences-related issues in Tanzania but also elsewhere through its open access policy.

Scope: The BEJ is interested in all original business studies, economics, social sciences, humanities, applied sciences, natural sciences, information and communication technology, and industrial and legal metrology original articles, business and economic case reports, case series, images, reviews and opinions. The Business Education Journal is double-blind peer review journal published quarterly by the College of Business Education Tanzania. BEJ has an outstanding editorial board made by experts in all fields of business and management. The EAHRJ promote and facilitate the application of knowledge from research to strengthen national and regional health policy and practice; development of human-resource capacities and skills; exchange and dissemination of health-research information; and advocacy of evidence generated from health research.
EAHRJ contains peer-reviewed articles, original articles, reviews, book reviews, short communications, surveys, commentaries, opinions on policy or practice, essays, reports, etc., from East Africa. It covers the wide range of subjects and issues in the health sector ranging from medicine, geo-medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmaceutical science, veterinary science, food science, health-related agriculture science, health professionals, etc., that provide evidence for improving health policy and practice.

The journal will seek to involve scholars and public health practitioners from Tanzania, East Africa and beyond, with the following aims:

The Journal of Linguistics and Language in Education (JLLE) is an academic journal published by the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics of the University of Dar es Salaam. The journal aims to involve scholars from both inside and outside Tanzania. The Journal of Sociology and Development is an international, peer-reviewed journal that publishes scholarly, original empirical research, theoretical contributions, and book reviews in the fields of Sociology and Development Studies with a multidisciplinary and global perspective, and with a focus on the African continent. The vision of the journal is to stimulate scientific communication towards the understanding of the continent departing from a plurality of perspectives. Kioo cha Lugha is an international journal published by the Institute of Kiswahili Studies (IKS). The journal is devoted to the publication of papers on Kiswahili language, linguistics and literature and other African languages. It promotes critical discussions and reviews, especially on contemporary issues regarding language and literature. The journal also publishes short pieces of fiction and poems. Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (Tanz. J. Engrg. Technol.) emerged in 2006 from Uhandisi Journal, which was established in 1974. From 1974 to 2005, the Journal was published in print form in the name of Uhandisi Journal. However, efforts were made to ensure that all available past articles are scanned and uploaded online to preserve the history and track record of the Journal. Following institutional transformation of College of Engineering and Technology at the University of Dar es Salaam, it was considered necessary to change the name of the Journal in order to meet new challenges and opportunities over the years. From 2006, the Journal name was changed to Tanzania Journal of Engineering and Technology (Tanz. J. Engrg. Technol.). The Journal is a forum for communication and dissemination of applied sciences, engineering and technological research between and among Engineers, Scientists, allied professionals and the general public. It is published in both print and electronic forms by the College of Engineering and Technology twice a year, in June and December.

The Tanzania Journal of Forestry and Nature Conservation accommodates articles addressing research findings of the current diverse and multidisciplinary approaches towards ecosystem conservation at national and global levels. The journal is published biannually and accepts research and review papers covering technological, physical, biological, social and economic aspects of management and conservation of tropical flora and fauna.

Tanzania Journal of Health Research (TJHR) was established in 1997 as Tanzania Health Research Bulletin. It is a peer-reviewed journal, open to national and international community contributions. By adopting an Open Access policy, the Journal enables the unrestricted access and reuse of all peer-reviewed published research findings. It is published four times per year (January, April, July and October) by the Health Research Users Trust Fund under the National Institute for Medical Research (NIMR) in Tanzania.
TJHR publishes original articles that cover issues related to epidemiology and public health aspects. These are but not limited to social determinants of health, the structural, biomedical, environmental, behavioural, and occupational correlates of health and diseases, and the impact of health policies, practices and interventions on the community.
It accepts articles written in English; spelling should be based on British English. Manuscripts should be prepared by the fifth edition of the “Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals” established by the Vancouver Group (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, ICMJE). For additional details not covered in the ICMJE Recommendations, TJHR refers to the American Medical Association (AMA) Manual of Style (10th edition), published by the American Medical Association and Oxford University Press
TJHR is committed to information sharing and transparency with a mission of promoting the Essential National Health Research Initiative in Tanzania and particular demand-driven health research. The journal targets readers interested in health research issues as well as non-specialist scientists, policy and decision-makers and the general public. TJHR receives articles on various areas among these are Global health and human rights, environmental health, public health informatics, chronic disease epidemiology, social determinants of health, dental public health, digital health, occupational health, mental health, epidemiology, maternal and child health, health policies, systems and management, biostatistics and methods, health economics and outcomes research, health behaviour, health promotion and communication.
TJHR does not set explicit limits on the length of papers submitted but encourages authors to be concise to reach our audience effectively. In some cases, providing more detail in appendices may be appropriate. Formatting approaches such as subheadings, lists, tables, figures, and highlighting key concepts are highly encouraged. Summaries and single-sentence tag lines or headlines— abstracted sentences containing keywords that convey the essential messages—are also standard. The authors must sign and submit a declaration of the copyright agreement. Peer-reviewers Policy
Once manuscripts have been submitted to the TJHR, they undergo internal screening from the Journal Editorial Team. Manuscripts meeting submission criteria and/or standards are thereafter assigned to three peer reviewers who are given a maximum of three weeks to undertake the review and submit reviewers’ comments.
Authors are henceforth allocated a maximum of fourteen days to respond to reviewers' comments. Such an allocated time may however may be extended upon substantive request from the authors. This turnaround time can be extended upon request from reviewers/authors. The Editor-in-Chief reviews the author's responses to ensure that the author has adequately responded to all comments raised by peer reviewers. Reviewers are then informed of the status of the manuscripts they have reviewed.
Special issues
All articles submitted are peer-reviewed in line with the journal’s standard peer-review policy and are subject to all of the journal’s standard editorial and publishing policies. This includes the journal’s policy on competing interests. The Editors declare no competing interests with the submissions which they have handled through the peer review process.
Editorial Policies: All manuscripts submitted to the Tanzania Journal of Health Research should adhere to the TJHR format and guidelines
Appeals and complaints: Authors who wish to appeal a rejection or make a complaint should contact the Editor-In-Chief by using the corresponding email address and not otherwise.
Conflict of Interest: All authors must complete the ICMJE Form for Disclosure of Potential Conflicts of Interest. You do not need to submit the forms to the Journal. Instead, the corresponding author should keep the forms on file if a question arises about competing interests related to your submission. The online submission system will ask you, however, to declare any competing interests for all authors, based on the ICMJE Uniform Disclosure Form. If there are no competing interests, please indicate, “None declared.”

Tanzania Journal of Science (Tanz. J. Sci.)  is an international journal published by the College of Natural and Applied Sciences, University of Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Journal of Science, formerly known as “University Science Journal", was established in 1975 as a forum for communication and co-ordination between and among scientists and allied professionals. It is also intended as a medium for dissemination of scientific knowledge among scientists and the public at large to promote the advancement of pure and applied sciences. Tanzania Journal of Science publishes high quality contributions on original works in the fields of pure and applied sciences. Its review processes and decision criteria are rigorous. The manuscripts are evaluated by expert reviewers and editors to assess their scientific quality. Those manuscripts judged by the editors and Chief Editor to be of insufficient scientific quality or interest, or generally inappropriate are rejected promptly without formal review. Also, manuscripts not complying with the journal requirements and author guidelines are returned to the authors or rejected. The decisions regarding acceptance or rejection of papers are independent, unbiased and fair.

Tanzanian Economic Review (TER) is a biannual journal of the Department of Economics, which is a part of the School of Economics of the University of Dar es Salaam. TER aims to promote greater understanding of socio-economic factors and processes that influence and shape the transformation of developing countries. The Journal is not limited to the Tanzanian Economy, it covers all aspects of Economics and Economic Transformation in developing countries and beyond.

The University of Dar es Salaam Library Journal (UDSMLJ) is an  interdisciplinary academic journal that publishes scholarly articles on all aspects of Library, information Science and and related fields of study. The Western Indian Ocean Journal of Marine Science (WIOJMS) provides an avenue for the wide dissemination of high quality research generated in the Western Indian Ocean (WIO) region, in particular on the sustainable use of coastal and marine resources. The journal publishes original research articles dealing with all aspects of marine science and coastal management. Topics include, but are not limited to: theoretical studies, oceanography, marine biology and ecology, fisheries, recovery and restoration processes, legal and institutional frameworks, and interactions/relationships between humans and the coastal and marine environment. In addition, Western Indian Ocean Journal of Marine Science features state-of-the-art review articles and short communications. The journal will, from time to time, consist of special issues on major events or important thematic issues. Submitted articles are subjected to standard peer-review prior to publication.
