Each of the submissions received is screened by the editor and, if found to be generally suitable for publication in UDSIJDS, assigned to two peer reviewers. A paper is rejected if both reviewers advise against publication. If the two reviewers disagree on the merit of the paper for publication, the editor evaluates their arguments and makes a decision (often requiring the author(s) to effect major revisions, addressing the concerns of the ‘negative’ reviewer among others). Contributors received feedback on their submissions within 6 to 8 weeks from the data of submission. 

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

This journal publishes two issues a year.
