Experimental and Applied Dental research
In the section of experimental and applied dental research, the journal focuses on highlighting the novel concepts in dental treatment and education ranging from contemporary approaches to modern era of digital and regenerative Dentistry.
The journal aims at providing a platform for researchers in all fields of dentistry where they can publish both basic science and clinical researches serving all dental fields and practices.
The journal accepts all article types ranging from in-vitro, clinical studies and all types of reviews. The journal also encourages the publication of multidisciplinary researches spanning pharmaceutical, medical, biomedical engineering, biotechnology and artificial intelligence fields.

The African Journal for Physical Activity and Health Sciences (AJPHES) is a peer-reviewed journal established to:
i) provide a forum for health specialists, researchers in physical activity, professionals in human movement studies as well as other sport-related professionals in Africa, the opportunity to report their research findings based on African settings and experiences, and also to exchange ideas among themselves. Research-related contributions by specialists in physical activity and health sciences from other continents are also welcome.
ii) afford the professionals and other interested individuals in these disciplines the opportunity to learn more about the practice of the disciplines in different parts of the continent and around the world.
iii) create an awareness in the rest of the world about professional practices in the disciplines in Africa.
AJPHES publishes research papers that contribute to knowledge and practice, and also develops theory either as new information, critical reviews, confirmation of previous findings, application of new teaching/coaching techniques and research notes. Letters to the editor, relating to the materials previously published in AJPHES, could be submitted within 3 months after publication of the article in question. Such letters will be referred to the corresponding author and both the letter and response will be published concurrently in a subsequent issue of the journal.
Manuscripts are considered for publication in AJPHES based on the understanding that they have neither been published nor submitted for publication in any other journal. Corresponding authors should make such declarations in submitting papers for publication. Where a paper has been partly or wholly published or presented at congresses, seminars or symposia, reference to that publication should be made in the acknowledgement section of the manuscript.
AJPHES is published quarterly, i.e., in March, June, September and December. Supplements/Special editions are also published periodically. Specific details about the publication of a supplement/special issue are obtainable from the Editor-In-Chief upon request.

The purpose of the African Journal of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care is to provide a medium for the dissemination of original works in Africa and other parts of the world about anaesthesia and  intensive care including the application of basic sciences

The African Journal of Applied Zoology and Environmental Biology (formerly the African Journal of Applied Zoology) was inaugurated to meet the growing need for an indigenous authoritative organ for the dissemination of the results of scientific research into the fauna of Africa. Its scope has been widened and the title changed to include original research papers which make significant contributions to flora on the other aspects of environmental biology relevant to Africa. Concise contributions on investigations on faunistics, biochemistry, microbiology, hydrobiology, nutrition, botany, soil and water chemistry, are invited for publication.

The African Journal of biomedical Research was founded in 1998 as a joint project between a private communications outfit (Laytal Communications) and members of the Ivory tower. Later, the need to expand the horizon of the journal led to the formation of a group (Biomedical Communications Group, Ibadan, Nigeria) which is aimed at being registered in future as a non-governmental organization involved in the promotion of scientific proceedings and publications in developing countries.
The journal is conceived as an academic and professional journal covering all fields within the Biomedical Sciences including the allied health fields. Articles from the Physical Sciences and humanities related to the Medical Sciences will also be considered. The African Journal of Biomedical Research publishes full-length papers, review articles intended to throw light on recent advances in areas within its scope, short communications, rapid communications and mini-reviews. The journal will also carry news on conferences, workshops and products. The guiding principle shall be consistency.

One of the dual roles of the African Journal of Biomedical Research is to serve as a conduit for academic and professional media, covering all research findings within the biomedical sciences including the allied health fields. The other role is to put to test the alliance between the private non-governmental sector and members of  an African academic community in their quest to propagate knowledge. Furthermore, the journal will make significant and regular contribution to the South-North flow of information, which hitherto has been slow.

After 16 years, we the Editors-in-Chief (Samy Zalat & Francis Gilbert) have decided to stop, and effectively this means that this journal will cease active publication. We believe passionately in free access for both authors and readers, and this has always been underpinned by our own efforts in our 'spare time'. We set the journal up to encourage young scientists from Egypt and other developing countries in publishing. Our aim was always to get an Impact Factor, but now under the current rules we would have to double our output of papers per issue. This would involve an unacceptable level of time and effort without paid help, which can only come from author charges. Thus reluctantly we have decided that the best course of action is to stop publication. We thank all authors who have trusted us with their papers, and all reviewers who have devoted their time to help safeguard the journal's standards.

Volume 16 will therefore be the last.

The journal also seeks to increase consumer awareness of the interrelationship between nutrition, physical activity and lifestyle to ameliorate health across the lifespan and to determine how health policies can be improved by taking a more nutrition-focused approach.
We welcome manuscripts describing observational and interventional studies as well as basic scientific reports on the topics of food sciences, diets, metabolism, nutrients, clinical nutrition, social sciences and health economics related to nutrition, eating behavior and disorders, and nutrition policies. Physical activity partnered with nutrition education; and strategies to reduce food insecurity are also valued.
The journal hosts also the proceedings of relevant congresses and presents shorter notices focused on the original character of the Mediterranean and North African nutritional civilization. ZUMJ is an open-access, international, bi-monthly, double-blinded peer-reviewed medical journal.
